Objectives of the CIIE

The objective of the Centre for Information on European Institutions (CIIE) is to promote a better understanding of Europe and its workings. To achieve this, CIIE provides the general public with access to information in the CIIE drop-in centre, carries out specialized research, and organizes over three hundred school activities and public lectures every year on themes such as the European institutions, European structures, EU enlargement, etc.
CIIE is managed by a governing board made up of its three founding bodies (Conseil Régional d'Alsace, Conseil Général du Bas-Rhin and Communauté Urbaine de Strasbourg). The association is currently chaired by Ms Nawel RAFIK-ELMRINI, Deputy Mayor of Strasbourg in charge of European affairs.
